Sopcast NBA Forum. Can anyone tell me how this thing works, the sopcast. The other day i downloaded it and tried to watch but it said i need to download again and i dont know what to download. If anyone has the link to downloading sopcast id appreciate it.
I was wondering if anyone could tell me if sopcast links are currently working in plexus?
I was able to get acestream working by manually adding acestream into plexus (wget https://dl.bintray.com/pipplware/dists/unstable/armv7/misc/acestream_rpi_3.1.5.tar.gz) as per the instructions since the acestream module no longer downloads itself, as it is no longer officially supported.
However there do not appear to be similar instructions with a tar file for a compiled version of sopcast for the rpi. And I cannot figure out if the lack of a sopcast module here '/home/osmc/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/program.plexus' means that one needs to be added manually, like for acestream.
So once I have acestream working through plexus, should valid sopcast links just work? The only sopcast links which I can find really are via castaway and I have read that castaway may no longer work so I dont know if it is sopcast or invalid links which are the problem. And I cant find any log files which seem to detail the problems sopcast is having. In the kodi log there is a python error which seems to relate to a sopcast link 'RuntimeError: Dialog not created' but from my reading that could be because it is unable to connect to the stream (ie its no longer active). Unless the sopcast components are missing? Any other sopcast links which I have been able to find and send manually are either probably the same ones in castaway or potentially very old so its hard to test.
tl;dr Is sopcast currently working in plexus without any workarounds needing to be enacted or is sopcast not really used anymore in favour of acestream?
